Objectives The Department of Staff Qualification and Work System Structuring carries out applied research into e-learning concepts for qualifying technical personnel at their work place. Advanced vocational training programmes are needed for machine and machining system operators and for those structuring organisational and operational aspects. Approach E-learning is constantly gaining importance as a tool in human resource development. Since content is predominantely only available for general purposes, e-learning for qualified staff is a niche. TQuA offers high-quality elearning for engineers as a blended solution through the »Virtual Academy Brandenburg for Public Administration, Labour and Economics«. The »Virtual Academy Brandenburg for Public Administration, Labour and Economics« is a project directed by Fraunhofer IPK on behalf of the Federal State of Brandenburg. The Virtual Academy Brandenburg is an infrastructure for offering target group related and demand driven high-quality and cost-efficient e-learning and other e-services to small and mediumsized companies and public administrations. The Virtual Academy’s business fields are onthejobtraining, modernization of public administration and e-government. The project PROTEM is geared to put to test and implement learning-timepatterns in small and medium-sized companies in Brandenburg. Its aim is to identify time units that are required for professional training programmes regardless whether they are initiated by the management or asked for by individual employees as a means of personal qualification. In order to make sure that such learning-time-patterns are sustainable, we assist in introducing innovative services to the company as well as to its regional and social environment. Such services can be learning-time-initiators, ombudspersons or an office for learning-timeinitiatives. Our Partners TQuA is working together with developers and suppliers of e-learning, education service providers and academic institution throughout Europe. Contact: |
